LBI Summer Showcase Day 1

2022 LBI Carolina Summer Showcase

Day 1

Concord, NC – Summer travel season has officially begun and in pure LBI fashion we are making our way around the country. I had the pleasure of going to North Carolina to not only support our LBI family in the south, but to also watch some amazing talent. Some of the bests of the best were in the building and have zero complaints.

DAY 1 STANDOUTS

Milaysia Fulwiley 2023   Team Curry GUAA
Hands down the most athletic player in the gym, Milaysia made everything look easy. She doesn’t show a lot of emotion which adds an entire extra level to her game. Her first step is lighting quick, she made unbelievable moves to the hoop and found any and every way to score. She has great defense, never giving up on a play and she can shoot the ball from deep. I mean waaayyyy deep. In one game, she knocked down 7 three pointers.

Drew Jordon 2023   Team Curry GUAA
A versatile player that is going to give 100% every second she is on the court, Drew is a walking energy source. She plays hard! Rebounding and fighting for every loose ball, Drew did not shy away from contact or a battle. She’s strong enough to score in the post and quick enough to defend the wing. She has a high motor and did not stop playing hard until the game was officially over.

Nariah Nelson 2026   Team Elite 3SSB Harris
Nariah is a solid player that showed she can be effective on both ends of the court. She did a great job of surveying the floor and making good basketball decisions that usually resulted in her scoring or getting an assist. When she did get inside, she was able to finish strong at the rim with and without contact.

Alana Wella 2026   Team Elite 3SSB Harris
Alana did a great job of staying active, always in the mix to help finish the possession strong or get a defensive stop. She rebounds consistently, taking advantage of second chance points. She showed nice footwork, working to get open to score baskets. She ran the court in transition and made herself available.

Jayla Jackson 2026    1 Nation 15u 3SSB
With long arms and creative moves inside, Jayla was the quiet assassin for her squad. She discreetly showed that she can be an offensive threat in more ways than one. She knows how to post up smaller players, keeping the ball high and finishing with contact. She’s a hustler on defense and got some big crucial stops.

Colleena Bryant 2025    1 Nation 15u 3SSB
Colleena took over the game, not just with scoring, but as a general on the court. She got to the rim at will and used the attention that the defense gave her to dish some nice passes, getting her teammates involved. She has great court vision and a nice IQ. Her upside is high, and she is only going to get better.

Madison Mims 2024    Carolina Flames 17 Nike-Moses
Madison without a doubt got the Hustle Award for the day from me. When she locked in on defense, there wasn’t a soul in the gym that she couldn’t defend. She is strong with quick hands and feet and knows how to play solid defense without getting a ton of files. She has handcuffs that’s for sure, even picking the pocket of one of the best scorers in the tournament. She may be small in stature, but her heart is the size of a giant.

Kyleigh Goode 2024   Carolina Flames 17 Nike-Moses
Kyleigh’s presence on the court was undeniable and game changing. She is a strong rebounder on both ends of the court. She has great court awareness and knows how to play within the flow of the offense. As effective as she is in the paint, she can also be a threat outside. It was a hand down, man down situation as Kyleigh knocked down a few threes and long-range jump shots.

Faith Farmer 2025   Team Curry 15u GUAA
The most impressive thing about Faith’s game for me was her ability to play hard on the defensive end and still come down and sink three point shots from all over the court. She hit a few off the bounce and others off a pick. In one game she had four from deep and immediately was back on defensive helping to get big stops. She is a hard worker and a lot of fun to watch.

Camille Kerridge 2025  Team Curry 15u GUAA
Camille’s ability to hit the gaps and create shots for herself is one of the many reasons she stood out. She is fast with quick hands and an even quicker first step. On defense, she often was able to slide her hand in the lane and create turnovers or easy transition points. On offense, once she took off downhill, just count the two points and take the ball out of bounds. She was pretty hard to stop.

Avery Mills 2024    Carolina Waves 23
Avery’s offensive game is easy to describe, she gets it done. She’s not easily intimidated and will take it straight at her defender or make sure the offense flows for the best possible shot. On defense she can get physical, not allowing anyone to get anything easy in her presence.

Lauren Colon 2023   1 Nation Elite 17u 3SSB
Lauren is a tough floor leader that has nice feel for the game. She handled the ball well under pressure, head up, seeing the floor, and when necessary, getting to the rim. She’s confident in her skill set and knows when to create for herself or drop a nice dime to her teammate.

Paris Bass 2023   1 Nation Elite 17u 3SSB
Paris’ light stayed on green, as she was always in go mode. She is long and athletic. She has a quick first step and an arsenal of crafty moves which makes for a great combination on offense. She also is a strong defender, using her wide wingspan to play in the lanes, create turnovers, and even block some shots.
