The LBI Carolina Top 100 exposure event was the place to be if you were a top athlete in the Carolinas. Here is a breakdown of what these 2021 guards can offer.

Sydney Peak | Evans High | G
While watching Peak play, you may be thinking this looks like she is participating in a shooting clinic. The difference was that she was guarded by some top players and still putting on a show. She shot very well behind the arc, but she also showed that she can step inside and make some jump shots from all over the court.

Jayde Gamble | Holly Springs High | PG
Gamble was a very effective point guard pushing the ball up the court showing that she is smooth with her handles. She had some nice moves with the ball while moving quickly up the court on fast breaks, and she even showed off a nice no look pass that caught the defense by complete surprise. She can also shoot from behind the arc. If you want a player who will hustle, she’s your girl running back on defense blocking fast break shots from opponents and diving after loose balls.

Yazmine Moates | Woodruff High | PG/SG
Another player who was hustling after loose balls was Moates. She was running the floor well getting back on defense, and she consistently founds ways to contribute on offense even when she wasn’t the only ball handler for her team. She set screens for her teammates and moved quickly to the open areas in order to get the pass or help her team grab a rebound.

Jaiha Williams | Bishop England | G
Williams is a guard who can create her own offense by grabbing steals and pushing it up the court. She had several fast breaks herself. When her team was playing in set offenses, she had some nice moves to separate herself from her opponent to create jump shot opportunities. This included a nice spin move that turned into two points through a mid range jump shot which was exciting to watch. She seemed to always be in the right position to make a contribution for her team on offense and defense.

Diamond McDowell | Asheboro High | G/F
McDowell showed her versatility as an athlete handling the ball well and being able to use power dribbles to post up underneath. She made shots from all over the court including behind the arc, and she created second chance opportunities grabbing rebounds quickly turning those into drives down the lane before opponents knew that she had caught the ball. On defense, she did well jumping into passing lanes causing deflections and steals.

Jessie Wiles | Davidson Day | SG
Wiles is a player who can certainly shoot well behind the arc. She doesn’t limit herself to her shot, though, because she consistently finds her teammates for open looks in order for them to score. She is strong inside herself fighting for rebounds.

Ke’Onna Bryant | Terry Sanford High | G
Bryant has a lot of good height already that she knows how to use well. She crashes the boards to create second chance opportunities for herself, and she knows how to make some nice post moves to score close to the basket. She can handle the ball well, too, pushing it up the court after rebounds or her own steals. She sees the court well and shows off her shot from behind the arc.

Grace Glance | Tuscola High | SG
Glance showed her IQ pushing the ball up the court and making some nice plays with the ball. She was very effective on fast breaks shooting a three pointer in transition or making smart passes to her teammates to get them involved. She showed no fear driving into the lane going up against contact, and she fought to grab rebounds.

Sandajah Vance | Legacy Early College | SG
Vance was very strong with the ball and moving fluidly with it all over the court. She had some nice moves creating separation between her and her defender to show off her shot or blow by her opponents to drive into the lane. She was a vocal leader as well encouraging her teammates and communicating well on defense.

Nahndi Smith | Asheville Christian Academy | G
Smith is a guard who creates offense from her defense. She had multiple steals including stripping the ball completely from players who picked up their dribble or players who were trying to dribble by her. She pushed these steals up the court creating fast break opportunities for herself and her teammates.

Morgan Kelly | Blythewood High | G
Kelly knows the best places to be on the court in order to make contributions for her team on offense. She would make some nice cuts and get a pass from her teammate before the defense even knew that she was there. She would cut into the paint or show some nice backdoor cuts that were consistently effective.

Maddie Grace Runyans | Woodruff High | SG/SF
A versatile player who contributed in many different areas was Runyans. She used her strength underneath to grab rebounds and score second chance points. She would use her length to jump into passing lanes or strip the ball from opponents. She ran the floor well making sure to be back on defense or help with scoring on transition plays.
