The South Carolina 76ers organization is putting themselves on the map as one of the elite programs in the Carolinas. Here is a recap of some of the standouts from LBI Carolina Live.
Quadaija Langley (2022) is a lightning quick guard who moves from one end of the court to the other with the ball moving through defenders easily. As one of the main ball handlers, she controls the tempo of the game and does a great job pushing the ball up the court keeping her eyes up looking for her open teammates. Her use of crossover and hesitation moves to get by opponents is fun to watch. On defense, she does not shy away from guarding players that are taller than her, and she crashes the boards going after rebounds to make sure her opponents to not get another chance at a shot. She constantly jumps into passing lanes turning those steals into easy points for her team.
Keonna Curtis (2022) could have taught a clinic on the fundamentals of being a post player. She moved well from block to block constantly repositioning herself to grab the entry pass. She was strong with her footwork, too, making sure the defenders were not able to make a play on the ball without fouling her. That strength continued to show when she was grabbing rebounds, and she knew exactly how to follow each shot that was put up. Her shooting ability was on display as well even from behind the arc.
Anala Nelson (2022) did a great job showing off her shot in the tournament. She was excellent at creating space between her and her opponent whether she had the ball already or not, and she was always ready to shoot. On defense, her speed was on display moving quickly in front of opponents and passes wreaking havoc for the other team.
The passes from Tyra Myers (2022) were almost unbelievable to watch the way she was able to thread the needle. She positioned herself perfectly to make the pass into her teammates, and she would also relocate herself in case her teammate needed to kick the ball back out to her. These passes weren’t part of set plays either as they were frequently made on fast breaks when she was pushing the ball up the court. Her vision of the court was amazing to witness.
McCall King (2022) is someone who can play all five positions on the court. She could handle the ball well, she had a nice shot outside, and she was not afraid to post up on the block to help her team score some points. She remains calm under pressure, especially during a close game when she is still able to convert a couple of free throws. She seemed to be that teammate that could come to the rescue and make a play just when you think the 76ers were about to lose the possession. She embraced contact converting those to old fashioned three point plays, and she had an amazing side step to create separation for her jump shot.
Riley Stack (2023) is a player that can position herself all over the court to make a contribution, and her length helps her grab steals and make blocks on defense. She has a great jump shot, and she is not scared to drive inside. She has some nice post moves on the block as well and knows how to position herself to have the most impact. Fighting through contact inside, she can play against anyone who is trying to guard her.
Trinity Vance (2024) is a fun guard to watch with the way that she can move with the ball and shoot from all over the court. She shows that she is already prepared to be a floor general in high school as she makes great passes to her teammates to make a play, or she creates her own space to score the points herself. She is very fast moving up and down the court where she makes her own fast breaks off of her steals, or she prevents successful fast breaks on defense. She even had some blocks during the games over the weekend.
Raina McGowens (2024) is a phenomenal athlete causing problems on defense. She is fast with her feet continuously keeping guards in front of her and jumping into passing lanes. On offense, she is already a true floor general who controls the tempo of the game. She knows where to go with the ball, she is patient letting plays develop, and she has a great shot to display especially after she creates separation from her opponent.
Samira Khalil (2024) showed how athletic she was moving with the ball. She showed how great her vision of the court was by the way she moved in order to make the perfect pass to her teammates. She had a great shot from all over the court, and she was constantly getting her teammates involved as well. When blowing by defenders, she had the option to pull up for her jump shot or drive where she did not hesitate when contact was made.
The height that Olivia Randolph (2024) already has will be beneficial for her, especially as she continues growing physically and as a basketball player. She is constantly tracking the ball making blocks on many plays to end the possessions of her opponents. On offense, she makes great post moves moving her feet and using her body to force her defender where she wants her to go, so she can score her points.
Standing at 5’11” Raven LeXander (2024) knows how to use her length when jumping into passing lanes and creating steals. She had multiple blocks in her games over the weekend. On offense, she made her presence known by moving defenders out of her way to make a play and show off her post moves.
There is a reason that Skyla Tuthill (2025) already holds multiple Division I offers. Her basketball IQ is well beyond her years, and she can play any position on the court. She knows exactly where to move to make a play whether she is setting up for a three pointer, midrange jump shot, or posting up under the basket. She finds the gaps in defenses, and she jumps into passing lanes creating steals when she is the defender. She moves her body well keeping opponents in front of her making it hard to score against her. The future is bright for this young athlete.
The play making abilities of Zhykera Brown (2025) are fun to watch, especially at such a young age. She moves her feet well positioning herself perfectly on offense and defense making sure she is constantly an asset on the court. She excels at the fundamentals and is great to see her focus on her opponent when guarding them and her ability to spin right around, box out, and grab the rebound. She can handle the ball on offense and uses her strength to bully her way to some points. Her outside shot is there, too, making her a threat no matter where she is on the court.
