We stepped into the Get Me Recruited Super 60 Showdown and left impressed with a well run event that was loaded with talent. The event included prospects that were looking to gain more exposure as well as those who were just out for good competition in a controlled environment. Here are few that caught the eye of the LBI Carolina staff.

Amiya Joyner 2022 6’2 pf Farmville Central HS (NC)
A special athlete that is just scratching the surface of what she is capable of. A natural shot blocker, rebounds both ends very well, showed she can guard the 2-5. One of the things that really stood out was her ball handling ability on the perimeter along with her ability to get to the rack off the dribble. Has a chance to be really special.

Jerni Kiaku 2022 5’6 pg Garner HS (NC)
Super tough guard that excels in transition. Very dangerous attacking the rim off the bounce, she doesn’t shy away from the contact and she is a lock down defender on the other end.

Diamond Thomas 2021 pg Knightdale HS (NC)
Thomas gets better every time I see her. She is so full of confidence that it just makes her game that much better. Consistently knocked down the 3 ball, did a good job penetrating the lane and creating for her teammates. One of her biggest assets is her speed which cause problems on both ends of the floor.

D’Mya Tucker 2020 6’ w Orangeburg Wilkinson HS (SC)
A versatile wing that can get it done in a variety of way. She has a good enough handle and is quick enough to create off the dribble against bigger defenders and she is effective in the post against smaller defenders. Very active in the passing lanes, her length creates problems on the defensive end.

Jada Walker 2021 5’7  pg New Hope Academy (MD)
Fresh off winning the Geico Nationals with her New Hope Academy high school team. Walker showed why she is one of the top point guards in her class. She has a really high IQ and always was a step ahead. Her understanding of using angels when scoring made getting buckets against the bigger players look very easy. She also won the Super 60 3 point contest.
